Survey Takers Needed

Now is a good time to get paid for surveys. Recession worries have large companies scratching their heads trying to figure out what consumers are going to do next. They hire market researchers to measure public opinion. The market researchers send out surveys, paying survey participants so they get a response.

Right now there are a lot of surveys being made and there is plenty of money for surveys being paid out. For you to get paid for surveys you need to get your name and email address on the lists of a lot of good survey makers, so they can invite you to participate and get paid.

Unfortunately only about 20% of survey makers offer legitimate paid online surveys that pay well, pay on time and protect your privacy. Another 40% pay or sometimes pay, but not as well. Still the better ones can be worthwhile. The lower 40% are just time-wasters that mainly want to sell you things.

You could sort them out yourself, signing up with all you can find, discard the bad ones and keep the good ones. There are about 700 of them in the U.S., 3000 or so worldwide. Going this route saves some money but takes a lot of time.

Or you could let someone else sort them out and just pay them a little for a copy of their list. There are people in that business, that operate paid survey membership sites. For a small fee you get access to their list of good survey makers. You generally make that fee back with the first 2-3 surveys you take.

Most more-or-less serious survey takers report incomes of $200-$600 a month. Many report incomes of $1,000 or more per month. How much you make will depend on how hard you work at it and on where you live…

The challenge is in finding a good paid survey site with a good list. Survey Sentinel has been tracking the top 20 paid survey sites for the last two years. You can see the current top 20, and the archives of past month back to December 2006 on their website. That is a good place to start.

Watch out for so-called “free lists”. [Remember "TANSTAAFL" - There Ain't No Such Thing As A Free Lunch!] All lists are paid for, one way or the other. If not by the user (you, the survey taker) then by the low-pay/no-pay survey makers that have to constantly recruit to replace their survey takers who quit!

To recruit new people to take their surveys they pay recruiters to find them. So much per head or so much per survey taken by the new recruits. Most of the lower 40% of survey makers pay recruiting fees. The top 20% almost never do. “Free lists” are generally being paid for by that lower 40% to recruit people like YOU!

To really get paid for surveys and get significant money for surveys you need to get a good list and then get signed up with at least 100 good survey makers. You won’t qualify for all surveys, that’s why you need a large number. The more survey makers, the more chances, the more surveys, the more money.
