Paid Online Research Surveys - How to Make $3,000 Per Month Online
Legitimate Survey companies recruiting online consumers to take product and service surveys, participate in focus groups, and test actual products are needing people from all demographics to provide valuable marketing data for many consumer products companies. Many of these companies belong to the Fortune 500. Paid Online Research Surveys
People from several demographics are needed to take surveys and do product reviews, especially in the largest consumer economy of the world, the USA. Market research departments in most of these companies have always had budgets allocated to independent market surveys and product trials and those budgets are substantial, especially for the larger well known companies. In the past, the consumers from all of the demographics areas important to these companies were targeted by paid telemarketing and direct contact survey teams who eventually had to be controlled by regulation due to the infringement of personal rights of their targeted consumers. The quality of these surveys were questionable as they were often completed with information from generally unwilling consumers.
Now that the Internet has provided a means of working directly with consumers in their homes, legitimate survey companies have begun using online methods to recruit paid, willing survey takers who provide high quality market research data.
So what does this mean for a person who is looking for either a full-time or part-time income source? It means that there is an opportunity for making money online, from the comfort of your own home, at your own schedule, and not requiring anything more that an Internet connection, a computer, and an email address. As with any business, your income will be proportional to the amount of work you put into it, but all things being relative, taking online surveys are generally pleasurable and interesting tasks, and everyone who is a product or service consumer is an expert in the eyes of the companies needing the research data.
So what does this business of taking surveys involve?
First, what it does not involve:
- Getting up early in the morning and commuting to the office or work location.
- Buying work clothes.
- Neglecting family duties because of conflict with a 9 to 5 job.
- Missing prime vacation opportunities because of work schedules.
- Needing babysitters for young children while parents are working.
- The list goes on...
What it does involve:
- On your own schedule, checking your email and online service for the surveys that are available for you.
- Giving your honest opinion on products and services that you use almost every day.
- For higher income, participating in online product focus groups where individuals network online at high hourly rates to discuss products and make suggestions for improvement.
- Be a secret shopper while doing normal shopping activities but getting paid for it.
- Watching movie trailers and giving valuable opinions on pre-release movies.
- Driving a new car to provide feedback.
- Going out to eat for free to provide feedback on restaurants.
- This list goes on... Paid Online Research Surveys
What are "legitimate surveys" and why the distinction?
As the Internet is not closely regulated, there is room for some misleading activity by less than honest online entrepreneurs. Unsubstantiated promises, misleading sweepstakes contests, and other methods have been used to solicit survey information from people with unkempt promises for rewards. Although these activities are not widespread, they do tend to warrant caution so that your time spent is not wasted. Legitimate surveys providers are long term businesses who guarantee payment which is agreed to before the survey is done. The survey service providers also aggregate all the paid surveys and remove those that are not legitimate, saving you from wasting time on unprofitable surveys.
How much money can be made taking surveys?
Naturally, the amount of effort you are willing to put into the work will determine much of this, but usually, it only takes a couple of hours each day to do from 4 to 5 surveys. More or less can be done depending on the time you have available. The amount of money you are paid for any particular survey or review activity varies with the type of product being surveyed or reviewed so let's look at some of the average payouts:
- Online surveys pay on the average of $20 to $70 dollars each, dependent on the product or service being reviewed.
- Online focus groups pay from $50 to $150 dollars per hour, again, dependent on the product or service.
- Other activities pay a proportionate amount to the above generally but for our purposes here, can be considered extra. (Although they can add up to a lot of money when combined.)
For the average survey taker, doing 4 surveys for about 2 hours per day is common. This alone, if calculated at the lower range of $20.00 per survey will amount to $1,600.00 per month, working 2 hours per day, 5 days per week. Taking the mid-range of surveys ($20 - $70) and being conservative, $3,000.00 per month is easily attainable with the same work schedule. Of course, there is nothing stopping you from taking several more surveys each day nor is there a limitation that would prevent you from working on the weekends.
If an online survey taker does one online focus group per week, the mid-range could add $400 to $600 dollars per month. Again, you can work as many of these as are available. Paid Online Research Surveys

is there surveys where i can get paid in high street vouchers?
ive known people who have done surveys and got high street vouchers do you know any websites where i can do survey to get high street vouchers or even where i can do paid surveys only from the uk though i have no money so please help thanks
Here's how a survey works:
In order to get paid (in dollars, pounds or vouchers), you have to complete offers. The offers cost money to complete. The web owner gets less than what you pay as a commission. You get less than the commission as your "pay". The company gets your money. The website owner gets part of it. You get part of that.
Take 10 pounds out of your wallet. "Pay" yourself 2 pounds. Throw the remaining 8 pounds away. You just "earned" 2 pounds in exactly the same way you'd "earn" them by doing surveys.
The ONLY way to earn money is by getting a job and doing it well. No one pays you more than you earn for them.
